| A FEAST In butter lightly he sautes the leeks, Tonight for dinner we will eat; Roasted lamb, a salad tossed, Add the wine, potatoes with sauce. Ice cream for desert. A romantic feast; Soft music flowing in the candle light -- O' yes my love -- I will stay the night. PART II O' yes, my love -- I stayed the night; Soft music flowed in the candle light -- Ice cream for desert; I kissed you, sweet. Drank more wine, and I kissed your feet. O' yes, I was sauced and tossed, And wilted . . . lest' I say any more? Tomorrow I'll take you out; what's more I won't be such a dreadful bore. ~~~~~~~ MODERN JAPANESE SENRYU POEM Soft music flowing In the candle light -- Oh, yes I will stay the night ~~~~~~~ PEACE, RELEASE AND SLEEP The marvelous white wings of the dove Flutter below and above . . . As love shines itself before me -- Blatantly where he lies below my sighs, And long passionate kisses that arise; I have longed for this . . . for so long. No wrongs, no songs, just longings That had been denied -- for too long. Release, peace, and sleep, and dreams to Never end as the spring wind marches on. I worry that his snore will out roar the sea, Yet, I am still at peace, and I sleep the sweet sleep that one sleeps By the sea shore. ~~~~~~~ END OVER END End over end; a vision of love, and longing under the sun, Done and redone. The soft silky secret sewn into my soul Was found unweaving, opened by your threads of love, Whisperings of desire, and promises to behold. I plunged in, and I enjoyed the swim; end over end. ~~~~~~~ IF What shall I say IF You were to forget me; Shall I say the stars no longer shine, Or that the mountains aren't worth a dime? What shall I say IF You were to leave me; Shall I say -- the seas no longer flow, And Niagara trinkles down slow? What shall I say IF Wintertime comes, and I have not your arms to keep me warm: Shall I say -- you never were? What shall I say IF The aroma of your love No longer scents my home; Shall I say -- I am alone? What shall I say IF The night is all there is, And I have nothing for which to live; Shall I finally say -- alas, alas, he is gone, And I no longer live? |

| A SIMPLE WISH Tonight I looked at the moon, And made a simple wish; To float upon the water At home like a fish. With the arms of a friend Wrapped around me tight, Yes, that's my simple wish For the full moon tonight. As you go off to sleep Close your eyes, and Feel the love of your life Floating...with her arms Closed around you tonight.
