

| HAIKU -- SENRYU & HYBRID POEMS ~~~ A dry parched land Devoid of vegetation Dreams are possible ~~~ A small waterfall That's all Sprinkling overhead On a hot summer day ~~~ A stream bubbling forth In a river of content Leaves fall forever ~~~ Cry me a river That is all I need Beneath a Pine Tree ~~~ Every woman Is one divorce away From poverty ~~~ I fixed my eyes On the largest cloud passing Shall I pass too? ~~~ Into today I swim For this day Is my eternity ~~~ Nasturtiums O--the green -- green grass of home Missing is mother ~~~ Once upon a time Love . . . was sublime and lovely The sea is quietened ~~~ One drink at a time Slime poured out for a dime Prohibition ~~~ Poets they come and Poets they go and Poets They die away; Oh! ~~~ Seek moderation In all things and in all ways Most honorable ~~~ The gulf is a grave To many and more will be Buried beneath ~~~ Their life is bliss With day dreams of complete peace Beyond the Evergreens ~~~ Think of yesterdays As if they were blessed treasures Ending anger ~~~ The void you're leaving Rises up and pounds me down Inexhaustibly ~~~ With my life I paint On the inner canvas of that Which is my soul ~~~ Yes, less may be more But more is better She said In her last letter ~~~ Bright the day Brighter than anything yet Except My red corvette Yet? |
