HYBRID POEMS
~~~
A dry parched land
Devoid of vegetation
Dreams are possible
~~~

A small waterfall
That's all
Sprinkling overhead
On a hot summer day

~~~
A stream bubbling forth
In a river of content
Leaves fall forever
~~~

Cry me a river
That is all I need
Beneath a Pine Tree

~~~
Every woman
Is one divorce away
From poverty
~~~

I fixed my eyes
On the largest cloud passing
Shall I pass too?

~~~
Into today I swim
For this day
Is my eternity
~~~

Nasturtiums
O--the green -- green grass of home
Missing is mother

~~~
Once upon a time
Love . . . was sublime and lovely
The sea is quietened
~~~

One drink at a time
Slime poured out for a dime
Prohibition

~~~
Poets they come and
Poets they go and Poets
They die away; Oh!
~~~

Seek moderation
In all things and in all ways
Most honorable

~~~
The gulf is a grave
To many and more will be
Buried beneath
~~~

Their life is bliss
With day dreams of complete peace
Beyond the Evergreens

~~~
Think of yesterdays
As if they were blessed treasures
Ending anger
~~~

The void you're leaving
Rises up and pounds me down
Inexhaustibly

~~~
With my life I paint
On the inner canvas of that
Which is my soul
~~~

Yes, less may be more
But more is better
She said
In her last letter

~~~
Bright the day
Brighter than anything yet
Except
My red corvette
Yet?
Anne Rutledge: Friend of A. Lincoln
The weeds of wonder
Below them lies beloved Anne*
One with weeds; ponder . . .
And the wolf said to the child,
Fear not, fear not; we are both wild.
Of nature at it's finest
Indispensable
My
Prayer
To the Great
Spirit is one word
WHY
WHY
WHY
~~~

O . . . Lord!
I made a mistake!
The Gods . . . are angry!
Burn me at the stake!

~~~
So, I am what I am,
Not what I think I am?
OUCH
That sure does hurt!
ANSWERING EMILY DICKINSON
To see the summer sky
Is Poetry
Never in a book to lie
True
Poems flee
